Appointment as a Justice of the Peace entails more than receiving a title. JPs commit themselves to serve their community for no reward and the services of a JP in New Zealand are
provided free.
The Association is one of twenty-nine JP Associations throughout New Zealand affiliated to the
Royal Federation of New Zealand Justices' Associations (Inc) .
